Life’s has new beginnings
Things have changed a lot in the past year. Hayden changed his life in so many ways this year. He went crazy on bodybuilding and becoming a super lean young man with a lot of muscle. Over the past year and a half, I’ve lost 70 lbs, my blood sugars have been a constant 6.0%. All of which is great, I’ve learned how to take control of my life and do things in the right way.
In the Spring of 2022, Hayden decided he wanted to follow his girlfriend to the University of Jamestown in the Fall. Then in the early Summer, he proposed to Emma. She is a welcome addition to our family.
With August, Hayden went off to his next adventure in life, we moved him onto the UJ campus. It has been a great change for him. He has matured a great deal, and it had really improved our relationship.
Over the Fall and Winter, I joined him for a few of Emma’s hockey games. Minot North Dakota, Denver Colorado, Minneapolis Minnesota, and finally a home game at Jamestown North Dakota. It was fun being able to hang with him and having a great time.
For Christmas, I went to Texas again to see my nephew and family. I picked up my sister in South Dakota and then we headed south. I felt good and ended up driving all the way there in a single shot. I mean it was only 19+ hours :). Don’t worry, my sister slept most of the time. The time there was fun, but not as enjoyable as the last time. We always seemed on the go. Previously we stayed home the entire time and it was just relaxing. I was able to get out and take Pepper on a few walks while others were sleeping in the morning. I did disappoint everyone when I received the “hot chip challenge” as a gift, and the chip didn’t really even phase me.
I’m excited to see what 2023 brings. New adventures for Hayden and also myself
